Final Design
How it works
TwoToFive @ Mikser Design Festival 2017
In 2017 TwoToFive took part in the international design competition Ghost Project. The competition takes part annually and this year's theme addressed "New Nomads". We can proudly announce that TwoToFive was among the winners of the competition! As a reward we were able to exhibit TwoToTive at the Mikser Festival 2017 in Belgrade - the biggest design festival in the Balkan region. Additionally we were awarded as one of the three most outstanding projects at the exhibition at the Mikser Festival.
In the following video you can see an impression of the Mikser Design Festival. It's mostly in Serbian, but the part about TwoToFive is in English.
Design Process | Phase 1
The development of TwoToFive started off as my individual project in September 2016. The need to be satisfied was a solution for small space living. After intense user research and market mapping I came up with a design brief and a vision: "Wouldn't it be great if there is a furniture system that meets all your needs and adapt perfectly to your micro apartment, being still changeable at any time? And it even moves with you to the other side of the world?" In the following some impressions of the 'birth' of TwoToFive.
Design Process | Phase 2
After 10 weeks of individual work the first concept of 'TwoToFive' was ready. Now it was time to refine it, work out the details and eventually bring it to life. To do so, I would get support from three of my fellow students - and a transition from individual work to team work. In the upcoming 20 weeks we worked out the details and dived deeper into the material research. Furthermore, we built a first 1:1 prototype and conducted user testing. Finally, after further testing of details and a lot of hours in the workshop, we built a final working prototype, which was presented at the annual Industrial Design Engineering Exposition at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in 2017. In the following some impressions of the process and of the Industrial Design Engineering Exposition 2017.
